Email Button

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

Email Button generates email addresses locally in your browser. The extension does not send your settings or browsing information to the developer or to external servers.

Information handled locally

This policy covers the Email Button browser extension. To provide its features, the extension:

Generated addresses and browsing history are not recorded by the extension.

Data sharing and tracking

The developer does not receive the information handled by the extension. Email Button does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking, and does not sell user data. It does not connect to an email provider or require an account or API key.

When an address is inserted into a webpage, it becomes accessible to that website. The website may process it under its own privacy policy, including before you submit the form. Email Button does not submit forms automatically.

Your choices and data retention

You can change your saved domain and preferences in the extension settings. Settings remain in your Chrome profile until changed or removed. Uninstalling the extension removes its local settings. Removing the extension does not delete information that a website has already received.

Limited use

Email Button uses the information it accesses only to provide its disclosed email-address generation and filling features. Its use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes and contact

If the extension's privacy practices change, this policy will be updated and the date above will be revised.

For questions about this policy, use the developer contact information on Email Button's Chrome Web Store listing.
